Before the upcoming Cognitive Finance event, we had the pleasure to interview one of the highlight speakersr, René Konings, Program Manager Group Strategy and Architecture at Credit Suisse Business Automation Solutions (RPA).
In his current role, he is responsible for the Central RPA (Global responsible of Standards & Guidelines RPA, product management for RPA, Centre of Competence for RPA, Operations & Support and Solution Delivery), the RPA Lab (Innovation centre for ML, AI and Big Data capabilities with RPA as processing unit) and Business Automation Solutions incl. BPM and Business Rule application. His responsibilities include the bank investment & execution governance change, end to end program management, PPM, PMO, PMO deployment, operation & enhancement, project review & recovery; lean quality management, business case and benefits management, as well as project consulting and pre-studies.
we.CONECT: How did you start your automation journey? What results have you achieved so far?
René Konings: CS started their journey with building an RPA factory led by an external company, luckily, this failed fast, as the business case was managed centrally quite some processes without a real business value were automated. After the company changed their strategy from ONE BANK to a federated strategy a Centre of Excellence was initiated.
